Mom, I didn't go into the ravine.

There is a huge, deep ravine most of the way around our house. Canyon knows he is not allowed to go into it. It scares me. I am sure there are all kinds of creatures down there, and he is so little. Of course, since he isn't allowed down there, he sneaks down there all the time. I can always tell by the cocaburrs (sp?)

Not a baby anymore

I took these pictures the night my little guy turned 4. It is like all of a sudden he is a big boy. My cuddly baby is gone. Tiny clothes, footie pj's, sippy cups, bottles, diapers, crib, everything...gone. It makes me want another one, but only for a minute or two.

Playground Design Team

I haven't been posting a whole lot of projects here lately because almost everything I have been making is for the design team at The Playground. Check out some of my new stuff on the playground blog. I am especially proud of the dinosaur gift bag and card. I love how they turned out. http://www.alteredplayground.blogspot.com/

1st day at BIG BOY school

Lately we are into funny poses, so he wouldn't let me take a good picture until I took a silly one.
Today was Canyon's first day at preschool. He had preschool when he went to daycare also, but he refers to the new school as "Big Boy School". He was pretty excited and I didn't get any phone calls so it must have went well.
Usually he will be going to preschool 3 days a week for 2 1/2 hours. Today was just an hour. I didn't know what to do with myself. I had a whole hour. I'm sure it will come as no suprise to most of you I hung out at the scrapbook store (The Playground).

First Day

Today was Marissa's first day of Middle School. She seemed calm and collected, but, I'm not sure that I am ready for middle school. When we went to orientation I actually saw an 8th grader with a moustache! A moustache! My kid can't possibly be old enough to go to school with someone who has a moustache. All I could think about for the rest of orientation was how that moustache kid had better stay away from my girl. I know, pathetic, but he better! I don't remember anyone having a moustache when I started middle school 20 years ago. But, now that I think about it, I do remember some things that scare me much more than the moustache boy.
