Family

I made this family album for my grandma for Christmas.
Everyone pictured is their children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and spouses, no extended family. Huge huh? Everyone is descended from or married to a descendant of my grandparents with the exception of the picture of the the man holding the baby on one of the smaller pages. This is my Great-Grandfather (grandma's father) holding me. The picture next to it is my Grandmother holding my son. I thought it looked nice to show these pictures together.
Happy Holidays Everyone!

Twas the night before Christmas & A Giveaway

Twas the night before Christmas,
I'm glued to the tree.
I'm wondering what Santa brought just for me.
Could it be cardstock or chipboard or lace?
Or a Cricut, I said, with a smile on my face.
And that's when I heard him,
"Hi Santa" I said"
You know.... good little girls should be in their beds."
"I know I should Santa,
and now I've been caught.
But I was just so excited
To see what you brought."
"Well, let's take a look in this room where you work.
He shook his head quickly,
And left with a jerk.
I heard him exclaim as he put it in gear
"You've got enough crap, 'll see you next year!"

This super cute little Night Before Christmas redo was given to me by my friend Michelle Chikos. I think we can all relate.

And for all of us that are always wanting more crap..... Ha Ha...........One of the blogs that I visit daily, Life as Lou, is giving away $150 in Cosmo goodies. Here is the link, just leave her a comment.

Dear Santa and an ornament

I found this cute Teresa Collins paper at the playground in 8x8 and thought that it would be perfect for my son's Dear Santa letter. I scanned his letter and printed it out on the paper. It didn't turn out perfect, with the lines intersecting some of the writing, but I like it. I also found an 8x8 Remember This Teresa Collins paper. I cut out the middle of the circle and printed my picture large enough to fill it.
The ornament is from my Piggy Tales Academy kit. I love the little sliding doors. Everything is Piggy Tales except the Deck the Hall rub ons are some Basic Grey remnants that I had from another kit.

Gingerbread House

JT and the kids made this cute little gingerbread house last week. Note the before and after pictures. Canyon says we must have a mouse because he sure didn't eat any of the candy.

Christmas House 2

Here are pics of the front and the back of my little Christmas house. How cute are the door handle and the little hinges? Thanks to my friends Michelle and Kelly for these contributions! The snow turned out so perfectly. My newest obsession... Close to my heart liquid applique and prisma glitter. I love the glitter, it is super fine and super shimmery. If you don't have a consultant, drop me a line and I will hook you up with Michelle, she's great!

Christmas House

It has been a while since I posted, so I thought I better get something up here, even if it isn't quite done.
This is a little Christmas house I have been working on. It is a Maya Road Villa and comes with the the little windows and door inside. It also has a little mini album inside.
I am not finished with the front and the back yet, but here are some pictures of the sides of the house and the roof.
I will post the rest of the house when I get it finished. I am on the hunt for a perfect little wreath.

Fall Layouts

I know everyone is gearing up for Christmas, and Christmas scrapooking, but I am still on fall.

I have been playing with pictures and papers for this layout for quite a while, I finally just had to sit down and do it. I used Glitter Cuts for the first time on this layout. I have loads of them, just haven't put them to use until now. I also found some cute glitter stickers in my stash that kind of match.

This layout was for the DT at The Playground. Moxxie papers, buttons, rub-ons. The bird is a Maya Road chip with Doodlebug flock, I made the feet and beak and he has a bling eye. The colors are a little off, especially the green, but you get the idea.

I think I need a lesson on photographing layouts. Everyone else seems to get such great pictures.

Storybook Christmas

We went to Storybook Island Saturday night during the Parade of Lights downtown. How brilliant of me to think of this!! :) We had the place to ourselves, and Santa to ourselves.

Canyon was super excited to go. I should have explained earlier that you couldn't play on any of the displays, that it was just for looking. He was upset for a minute or two, then the dazzle of the lights took over and he didn't care.

Canyon, Marissa, and cousins in front of the 3rd little pigs house

The kids got to ride on the little train through the park also. Marissa is technically 3 years older than the max age for the train ride, but she squeezed her long skinny legs in the car and off they went. Then huge red cookies and warn hot cocoa after the train ride.

Santa was waiting at the entrance to the gift shop. Canyon had absolutely no issues with Santa this year. He has already informed us that Santa is making him a Spike the Dinosaur in his workshop.

Snowman Kisses

I am making these for Canyon's preschool teachers this Christmas. I think my snowman could use some embellishment. Maybe a scarf and a hat or some jeweled buttons.
I scraplifted them from two peas. Here is the original.

It's a boy thing

This is a layout from about 2 years ago. I used one of the discontinued TLC Hot Fudge kits for it. I posted it because a friend of mine wanted to scraplift it. Here ya go Angie!

Here we come a wassailing!

I created this mini album this weekend. The idea came from Scrapbook Trends. I absolutely adore how it turned out. The paper and the chipboard are Basic Grey Wassail. I also used some Breezy design foil, flock, glitter rub-ons. The color on the first pic of the outside of the album is funky. The album is actually the colors portrayed in the rest of the pictures. I don't know what happened. Every time I tried to fix it up it got worse, so I just left it.
