I got this done on Monday. Kendra came over with her kids and we got in a little scrap time. It has been a while since I have done a 2 page layout. I really wanted to scrap all these pictures and I can't possibly put more than 2 on a page so a double was necessary.
Canyon was so happy the first time I actually got his hair to spike. I love these pictures.
I also really like the layout, so there are lots of close up pictures. Everything I used is Cosmo Lil' Man from The Playground.

Layouts about ME!
I never, never scrap pictures of myself. I don't like pictures of myself, does anyone? I did these for more challenges at The Nook. It is unbelieveable the amount of layouts I am getting done!
This first layout was for a challenge to use no adhesive. First I painted the transparency on the edges, the hand-stitched a heart in the bottom corner of the photo to hold the photo and the transparency to the page. The is also stitching behind the tiny flower on the top left of the pic to help hold it there. The flowers are stitched thru the buttons and held to the paper that way. The letters and the bling are self adhesive (this was allowed).
This is one of my favorite pictures of myself from my wedding day, and it wasn't one of the professional ones. Hopefully this layout will inspire me to scrap more of my wedding photos.
The paper and transparency are Making Memories. The flowers are Making Memories and Prima. The bling is Prima. The letter stickers are Momenta.
This one was also for a Nook challenge. We had to use a pagemap that was provided and scrap about our attributes. The layout also had to have a butterfly on it.

No Lion
This was done for another challenge at The Nook. The challenge was to make an animal for a card using a button, or make a layout with at least 20buttons (not flower centers). After seeing some of the adorable button animals, I decided to go that route. Plus, I am a button hoarder and I couldn't fathom using 20 of my precious buttons on a page!
I love how this little guy turned out.

The lion is a button, the flowers are Creative Impressions, all the papers and the sticker are Sassafrass, The No Lion stamp is CTMH and the little birdies on the ticket and on the dots are Sassafrass, ribbon is Prima. I traced a Maya Road keychain for the ticket, then drew the lines on it and used pop dots.
Most of the product is from The Playground.
Thanks for stopping by!

Disney Withdrawl
The kids and I have been going thru some Disney World withdrawls. It has been 2 1/2 years and no trip is planned for the immediate future. This is the longest we have ever gone without our Disney fix. lol. I know, it's pathetic. Since I am not working anymore vacations are pretty out of reach right now.
I made this Disney funds jar out of a box of Nestle flips with hopes we could some how save enough for a trip next year.
I painted the lid with several coats of black stayz on. It is not staying on :)! I used my Cricut Disney font and regular Disney cartridge to cut out the letters and the Mickey. The papers are Reminisce.
I had a change drawer in my room and the kids scrounged around the house to put change in it. Canyon and I took it to the bank yesterday, $71, woo hoo! He looked so cute hauling it into the bank. The bank tellers loved it, I thought about asking for donations. Lol, just kidding. Now we only need to come up with $71 in change about 100 more times and we are home free!
Here is the other side. I'm not sure which side I like the best, so I won't call either the front.

I made this layout for a challenge at the nook. We had to create a shaped layout, with no pink and at least 4 lines of journaling.
I cut out a Mickey head on my cricut, then traced around it and cut it about an inch bigger by hand. I have heard that if you use Design Studio or Sure Cuts A Lot you can trick your cricut into cutting a little closer to 12x12. I don't have either, so I had to kick it old school.
The black and yellow are Bazzil Bling, the red and the journaling sticker are Reminisce. I sewed the ruffle to the layout, idea courtesy of Leah Killian (see Life As Lou link on the right). I handmade the flower using the backside of the Bazzil and just scrunched the heck out of the paper. I like how it turned out. It isn't my usual mad layering style, but I think it will look super cute in my Disney album.
Canyon loved meeting all the characters, except Mickey. He actually snubbed him. It was hilarious. Mickey just threw up his hands, shook his head and walked away. He adored Donald Duck. He couldn't take his eyes off him. It is hard to see in the picture, but he is smiling at the camera and looking way off to the right, where Donald was.
The journaling says
We met Minnie at Chef Mickey's.
Canyon didn't ignore her like he did Mickey.
He even smiled for the picture.
His eyes, however, never left Donald Duck.

Canyon's birthday and graduation pics
Canyon graduated from Preschool this morning. It was a cute little ceremony. My mom made Canyon this candy boquet for his graduation. Isn't it adorable? It has a balloon attached to it also. He loves it.
Canyon's birthday party at Storybook Island this weekend.
It was cool having the park to ourselves, as it isn't open yet for the season. People saw us playing and kept trying to come in. I felt so bad turning some of them away, but there were at least 20 families and several large groups that tried to come in. It would have defeated the purpose of me renting and paying for a private party if we let half the town in.

IVY
I just completed another challenge at The Nook. We had to create a layout with the colors from this piece of fabric.
Here is my layout. Paper and stickers are Bo Bunny Alissa from The Playground. I used a Cuttlebug folder on the white cardstock. The foam letters are Target dollar spot. The foam letters match much better in real life. (almost perfectly actually) I took the pic outside with the bright sun directly overhead, I assume that is why they show so much darker.
Isn't she adorable in these pics? I love that you can't see her eyes in any of them. They are from her 2nd birthday party at Canyon Lake Park. That was 2 1/2 years ago. Wow time flies!!
I really liked this nook challenge. These are colors that I wouldn't typically put together, and pics I wouldn't have normally scrapped. I am definately getting some things done.

Home Sweet Home
This is a gift card holder and mini album I made for a challenge to make a gift card holder at The Nook. It is for friends that just bought a new house. They had a particularly difficult time with the sale of the old house, so I wanted to make them something special.
The papers, rubons, ribbon and album is TLC/Breezy Design. I got the little mailbox at Target.
I left the album blank for their pics. The pic on the front is ripped out of a Target ad. I just wanted to display that a pic shows thru the heart cutout in the front.
I love how the little mailbox turned out on the sides!

Boy oh Boy
This is another layout I did for the Scrap Off at The Nook. I am loving the fact that I decided to give these challenges a try. I am a procrastinator at heart, so I never get anything done unless I have a deadline. I often force deadlines on myself for various things, but it seldom works. The challenges at The Nook all have deadlines and it is forcing me to actually get some layouts done. I am constantly buying the latest and greatest, but seldom actually using it. I need this!
The Nook challenge was to do a layout using more than 1 picture, and it had to be the same picture. You could alter it anyway you wanted, except photo tinting. I enjoyed working on it. I usually have to stop myself from using circles on every layout, I let myself this time. I really like how the wavy cutouts I have layered all over each other on the bottom turned out.
This layout is done with Bo Bunny's U Bug Me line. I got all the paper and embellishments at The Playground, except the Creative Imaginations filmstrip which was in my stash.
Last week a couple of us got together and made some great paper flowers. Kendra brought her Gesso and we got messy. The flowers turned out gorgeous. Kendra's are on her blog. here. I am sure that Cathy will post the layouts she made sometime soon, so watch The Playground blog for those. I can't wait to use mine.

Mother's Day and Monster Minis
I made this Card for my mom yesterday. I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I really like the argyle. Sorry about the lighting on the photos.
I made these 2 mini cards for a challenge at The Nook. I love the monsters they are so, so cute. This is the new Daisy Bucket paper and stamps from The Playground. The rubons on the first one are the October Afternoon monster line and the paper on the bottom of the second is Sassafrass.

Play With Me
I did this layout for a challenge over at The Nook. The challenge was to scraplift one of the design team layouts and still show your style. Here is the original by Leah Killian.
I used almost all Sassafrass Lass on this layout. I love that crossword puzzle paper.
